Western Digital SSD BSOD Firmware Update

Important Notice: FirmwareUpdate for Western Digital and SanDisk SSDs to Resolve BSOD on Windows 11 24H2 

In the event of blue screensoccurring when trying to perform the update, try to boot into "Safe Modewith Networking" and then try downloading and installing it from there.

 To boot into Safe Mode fromthe sign-in screen in Windows 11:
1. Reboot the PC
2. At the Windows LoginScreen, hold the "Shift" key then click with your mouse on Power andchoose to Restart.
3. Once restarted, selectTroubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart.
4. In Startup Settings,select 5 or F5 for Safe Mode with Networking
Once Windows starts up inSafe Mode with Networking, go to https://support-en.sandisk.com/app/answers/detailweb/a_id/51469 and then follow the directions on the page to download SanDisk Dashboard and install the firmware update.
